I chose to work at Hasbro, because I believe in the what the company stands for…and I want to be a part of the inclusion it inspires.
The diversity of this company enables me, my family and my children to hold our heads up high.
In addition to Hasbro’s integrity, I’m excited to see what our next innovation is! As part of the Design & Development team on Integrated Play, I am getting a front seat to that creativity.

I’m a Sample Coordinator in Model Services. I work in what I consider to be the hub of Design and Development for Hasbro.
Every day, I interact with the people in all aspects of toy and game development. I coordinate the acquisition and distribution of our prototype samples created for television commercials, global retailer previews and events such New York Toy Fair and San Diego Comic Con.
I love giving tours of Model Services, especially to children during Hasbro’s Global Day of Joy. One child told me, "This is the best field trip ever!" That was awesome :) How is this not a cool job?
Waking up every day, wanting to go to work because I really WANT to, is very, very special.

It feels like Hasbro games have been part of my entire life.
As I got older, I took up MAGIC: THE GATHERING and it’s put me where I am today. The brand has given me a lot of opportunities in my life, so I’m glad to be helping make it great.
I’ve spent my whole career in the gaming industry in almost every discipline – designer, retailer, judge, tournament organizer, convention manager, sales, FAN – and now I have the chance to add marketer to the list.
I love that I’m able to apply my experiences to my job at Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast division. My team analyzes the needs of our retailers to come up with programs and ideas to help stores create quality play experiences for players and to find out what would help their store be better.
I’ve been at Hasbro for about two years. When I started, I was known as “the guy who sold his business and moved 2,000 miles to work at Wizards of the Coast.” I jumped at the opportunity and moved to Washington from Texas and couldn’t have landed in a more perfect place! I’m surrounded by some of the smartest people I know. Really, there are tons of super smart, creative people here, and I feel like I can learn from each of them.
Wizards is a leader and doing things other companies are not even attempting, like our agreement with Twitch to maximize our online streaming presence. We have a huge organized play program that is unmatched in the industry. Our Grand Prix circuit has 30+ events a year. We have the best programs for in-store play and the best onboarding experience for retailers.
I noticed right away how Hasbro and Wizards values their employees – their well-being and communities as much as the skills they bring to their jobs. I wasn’t aware of how involved Hasbro employees are in their communities before I joined the company. For instance, Wizards works with local non-profit organizations and the school system here to have kids visit our building to play games at lunch or after school. I was so impressed, I signed up right away. Me and my little buddy get along great! The activities are fun, and it’s was a great way to be involved in the community, while I was still learning the area.

Growing up, I learned life lessons from OPTIMUS PRIME and to be community-minded from G.I. JOE. Playing with action figures helped to develop my imagination, and I believe my imagination has guided me to my career.
I am so proud of what I do. I get to visually tell a game’s story…and how fun it is. I design the brand, characters, packaging, and game components that families interact with. My team is creating stories and brands that bring kids and their families together. They’re connecting and building memories when they’re playing our games. It’s truly an awesome responsibility.
I thought my experience was unique: I grew up playing with Hasbro brands and now I work here…cool! The longer I’m at Hasbro, the more I realize that I’m part of a flock of people who have similar experiences, values and drive. Working here, you find your people. I knew on my first day that I’d found my spot.
Joining Hasbro gave me the freedom to be creative, and more importantly, to have a creative voice. Actually, most importantly, I’m encouraged to share my creativity. My leaders believe a ‘eureka’ moment for a new game can come from anywhere. A lunch room conversation about a new game idea can easily turn into a hit game almost overnight. I’m on a super collaborative team, and they value my input. I’m a little obsessed with the idea of gamifying…everything!
Sometimes during meetings, I get a crazy realization that I am here making decisions about how to pie someone in the face or how to turn the latest trend into a game. Plus, it’s fun to talk about. I mean, I tell people I work on the PIE FACE team.
Playing games for a living is awesome!
